My father died of brain cancer when I was eight. I grew up understanding that cancer doesn’t just take lives—it changes how people feel about themselves.
Years later, while building SMUFF, I met patients undergoing chemotherapy and saw how hair loss affects their confidence, daily life, and identity.
A close friend’s mother went through years of treatment before passing away. Watching her journey made it clear—along with the loss of health, people also lose confidence, and there’s a gap that needs attention.
My father and my friend’s mother didn’t have something like this. That’s why I built it—for those who come after them.
